The Skidmore Family

by ElizaStudios

Toddlers! They make you work for the money! But I love photographing them because you just never know what to expect! Their expressions are just so genuine!

This fall was challenging to schedule family sessions because we had so much rain. However we were lucky and had a lovely Sunday afternoon the first weekend in November and we still had a lot of autumn color left!

It was quite crowded at Green Lakes State Park by the water, so I took family to another location that had a lot of color and was more private. We found some great spots for Rosalind to run around. She had a great time throwing leaves and exploring the fields.

The Zajac Children

by ElizaStudios

In September I had the pleasure of photographing the Zajac Children for the 3rd time. It's wonderful to see the kids as they grow up. The parents Scott and Julie are former coworkers of mine. We had a nice time catching up.

We choose Marcellus Park, in Marcellus, NY to do our portrait session.  I used to live behind this park in an apartment complex and it brought back wonderful memories of walking my dog through the park. Marcellus is such a lovely, quaint village and the park is just beautiful!

This kids were great and we have a lovely evening golden light.  The portraits of the children by the creek are some of my favorite.

Kathy and Adam | Hayloft on the Arch, Vernon, NY | Wedding | 08.17.18

by ElizaStudios

Kathy and Adam got married at a beautiful rustic barn called Hayloft on the Arch in Vernon, NY on a very warm mid August day. I started the morning off with the ladies in the Tower Hotel at Turning Stone Casino and Resort. Kathy was joined by her niece Emma (maid of honor) and her sisters and nieces. They had a relaxing morning chatting while getting their hair and makeup done by Hair and There Salon from Syracuse, NY.

A couple hours later I walked over to Adam's room just next door where he was getting ready with his best man Fred. I capture a few pictures of him getting his tie and jacket on as well as some portraits by the gorgeous window light.

After hair and makeup was complete we drove over to Hayloft so Kathy could finish getting ready in Hayloft's adorable bridal suite and meet Adam outside for their first look. Hayloft has an amazing property for photographs, large lush green fields and a cute little chapel nestled in the back of the property. I couldn't resist taking the couple there for some bridal portraits before the ceremony. Unfortunately we had to make a run for it back to the barn when it started to rain!

The couple was so filled with emotion during the ceremony. The ceremony was wonderful with Kathy's brother walking her down the aisle and her brother-in-law acting as officiant. It was so heartwarming to see the groom tear up as his bride walked down the aisle! These two were so happy to be married!

The best man gave a touching toast to the new couple and close friends of the bride and groom gave a humorous toast and roast. Dinner was served buffet style with a Polish flair by Michael’s Fine Food and Spirits. After dinner, Skip Clark Entertainment kept the dance floor going all evening long! This was an evening to remember!

Congratulations Adam and Kathy!
